Requirements for Non Medical Volunteers

Volunteers must be 18 yrs and older and
Respect all animals, staff, working hours, regulations
Must volunteer for a minimum of 2 weeks
Work hours 10am – 6pm Monday – Sunday
Willing to do any of the assigned duties.

Requirements for Medical Volunteers

Must have completed a minimum of 3 years of Vet school
Must volunteer for a minimum of 2 weeks
Work hours 10am – 6pm Monday – Sunday
Willing to do any of the assigned duties

Duties include the following

Animal Welfare

Walk inpatient dogs
Grooming – Bathe/Brush
Clean eyes and ears (use cotton wool & water)
Fleas, worms, weight loss fur loss, cuts – alert staff if you see any
Dog hiking in the afternoon
Clean and fill water bowls
Training – train dogs how to sit, lie down, stay, etc
Food preparation and feeding
Make sure each dog in a cage has a clean, dry blanket
Do basic treatments like dressing change, fluid administration

Marketing and Fundraising

Take photos and write stories from Mobile Clinic, and shelter
Write a blog post for the PASHA blog
Start a Fundraising page to raise funds for PASHA
Share our Facebook posts

General Tasks

Sweep and mop
Help with cleaning, sweeping mopping, picking up poop
Make tea for the staff
Do Laundry
